Open your eyes to the possibilities…
“Searching for “Dark circles under eyes treatment Surrey”? Or “Bags under eyes treatment Surrey”? So many people go through life hating the shadows, bags and dark circles under their eyes. For some people it’s age related but for others it’s related to eyelid pigmentation which causes the dark circles and a hollow, tired look at any age.
In the case of women, many will spend excessive amounts of money on cosmetics in pursuit of looking less tired, having a more even complexion and trying to look younger.
The innovative cosmetic treatments available now for improving the appearance of the lower eye are incredible; effective, long-lasting and many are non-surgical.
It takes a specialist Doctor to look at a skin condition and understand a patient’s objective in order to propose the right treatment, or combination of treatments. When it comes to lower eye cosmetic procedures; that’s what we offer at the Harley Street Skin Clinic.
To reduce the appearance of sunken, dark and tired looking eyes and tear troughs we have a wide range of options available; which may be used on their own or in combination.
Dermal Fillers and Platelet Rich Plasma are both popular and natural cosmetic solutions to brightening and opening the eyes and both benefit from being derived from naturally occurring products; in the case of PRP your own blood cells are used to stimulate the skin’s natural re-growth with rejuvenating and radiant results.
Skin Needling or collagen induction therapy is soft surgery that creates a series of minute trauma needling into the skin. This process triggers instant contraction and tightening of the skin to create a lifting, remodelling and rejuvenating effect.
Eyelid Surgery or Lower Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that offers incredible results. An incision is made along the lash line and smile creases of the lower lid and closed with fine sutures.
The procedure will be carried out under local anaesthetic, with or without sedation and will last one to two hours.
Most patients recover very quickly, however all interventions carry a risk. The risks associated with this procedure include pain, discomfort, bleeding, bruising, swelling, infection, scars, numbness, asymmetry.
The initial recovery time will be seven to ten days; with around four to six weeks to completely settle down. However, the improvements will be apparent immediately.
Pexr is an innovative form of ‘soft surgery’ and offers an alternative to surgical Blepharoplasty. Offering long lasting results, and minimal down-time, Plexr uses plasma technology to tighten loose skin and is an impressive alternative to surgery, allowing a gentle correction of moderate loose skin.
Fat transfer is another approach to lower eyelid improvements. With the sunken look of the lower eyelid often due to the fat and volume loss associated with aging, fat transfer can use the body’s own excess fat cells to plump the lower eyelid, returning it to a rejuvenated and younger appearance. The tear trough effect is effectively reversed via the injection of fat cells, with a resulting brighter, more defined and appealing look for the eyes. This is a permanent solution and often negates the need of lower lid surgical blepharoplasty.
